Paint Party Friday - Days of the Week

Easter is long gone. Some of us are still suffering from chocolate hangovers though, and the school holidays really did put a break on getting much of anything done. The weather was poor too, which did not help. Why does it start raining the minute the kids stop school for the holidays, is one of those questions that will remain unanswered and continue to be a mystery for parents everywhere. Oh well, such is life.

The only art I managed to get done last week was a series of quick sketches in one of my journals. I did one every day and I’ve decided to post them all today.

Hope you like them.

Oh, I'd just like to apologize for the size of the images. A couple of years ago, I had several images stolen. So, to try to avoid this I tend to keep the images small these days. You can click on them though, which will make them a bit bigger.

Monday - Make Someone Smile

Tuesday - On the High Street

Wednesday - Sunset

Thursday - Kooky Kats

Friday - Things on a Beach

Thank you for visiting, and have a great weekend.

Paint Party Friday - Unfinished

The school holidays have hit, and as you’d expect this always has an impact on the amount of time I can give to my creativity. I can’t complain too much, though; I enjoy having some fun family time as much as anyone else. I just hope we get some decent weather. Today has started out dull and grey, so it’s not looking good, but it might improve. One can only hope.

Despite the Easter school break, however, I've managed to get some work done. I’ve been concentrating on drawing mostly. But I did make a start on a painting. It’s based on sea life, but  I’m not sure if I like it at the moment. I think I’ll leave it alone for few days, then come back to it with a fresh eye.

Unfinished project

I do like drawing. Actually, I like drawing more than painting. But then again, pardon the pun, I am drawn to colour, so painting is something I have to do. I used to draw out sketches like those below all the time for my daughter to colour-in. She loved having something unique to show her friends. I'm a bit out of practice but I reckon the ones I did this week still hold up.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, and a smashing Easter. Don't eat too much chocolate.
