Snow

As this is my first Paint Party Friday, and as I’d been planning to submit something all week, I promised myself I’d try to produce a really creative piece of art.

Life, however, had other plans; a parent / teacher meeting and an emergency trip to the veterinary surgery being just two of the things that scuppered my best of intentions. Life does have a habit of getting in the way, but it’s just something we have to deal with. No point crying over spilt milk.

So not to be outdone, I’ve decided to share a quick watercolour drawing I put together this morning in my sketchbook depicting the weather here today – dull, dismal and quite cold, with an early morning covering of snow.

  3. welcome to Paint Party Friday!!! Your watercolor painting is so beautiful. I struggle so often with watercolors and trying to paint in a looser style....oh well... can't do everything. I'll just keep taking online classes and practicing. Hope all is well after the surgery at the veterinarian. We do love our pets. Happy PPF ,and nice to meet you!

  4. Hi, Linda, and thank you for your kind comment. All went well at the vets, though we have a few check-ups on the horizon. I've been painting with watercolour for a couple of years, but I only dabble really. I do enjoy it, however, and painting is becoming more of an obsession in my creativity.

  7. Hi, Giggles. Thank you for your welcome, and your comment on my painting. Time does get the better of me now and then, but at least I managed to post something. I think taking part is as important as the finished result. It's only through practice that we improve.
